Baby Otto....coming Fall 2012!!

As some of you know Jared & I made a special announcement in March that baby Otto would be joining our family late September!  We told our parents back in February, but waited to hear that first heart beat(which was AMAZING!!) before telling family and friends.

We wore these shirts at my parents 30th anniversary party to let everyone know!

We decided to start keeping this blog up to date so that our family and friends can keep up with the progress of this new adventure of ours :) !!!  We have made it past the first trimester and into the 2nd...woohoo!!  As of week 17 we have gotten to hear the heart beat twice(which is so amazing every time!) and the last time baby Otto was active when the the doctor was trying to listen...Jared said it was because they were being disturbed and probably wasn't happy they were getting messed with :)  So at week 15 I knew that baby was moving in there so I have patiently been waiting to feel the first flutters and well I started feeling fluttering this past weekend! Such an exciting time to start feeling those first movements!!

Our First Christmas

Yes this is our first Christmas as a married couple, but we got to do all the crazy running around last year too trying to make it to all the Christmas'. First off it is my dad's birthday Christmas Eve, so we went down to my parents that afternoon and gave him his present and spent some time with them. We then headed to my Grandma & Grandpa J's as we do every year for Christmas that evening. This year we decided to add some games to our gathering. We played some BINGO, Left Right Christmas Story and Pictionary. It was getting pretty late when we played pictionary so it got pretty interesting and funny! It was a good way to start out the Christmas weekend.

On Christmas day we got up and had our Christmas together and then packed up and headed to Greenwood to Jared's sisters. This year was a lot of fun with Lauryn, she was really into all of her gifts and trying them all out as soon as she opened them. We had lunch there and played some wii and Lauryn started trying on her dress up clothes we got her. She wanted to wear them all at one time, it was so cute. We also played pass around the baby. With Alex being still new to us all we all wanted to snuggle her.

Christmas night we came home and my parents and brohter came down and we had dinner, watched movies and opened our stockings. On Saturday we had our Christmas morning with my parents and brother. Later that day Terra came and joined us. The boys (Jared & Nick) goth new paint ball guns so they had fun getting them set up and playing with them. It was a fun day of just hanging out together.

1st Annual Otto Christmas Party

Jared and I held our first Christmas Party this year, and hopefully the first of many to come! When it comes to holiday parties it seems that there are set people that have the same holiday each year; Labor Day, New Years, Halloween and now Christmas! We had appetizers and yummy Christmas desserts. We had a gift exchange, which got pretty intense from people stealing back and forth, and we also played the left right Christmas story. We had a lot of fun just hanging out and spending time with friends.

Lacy I know your eyes are closed, but I wanted a picture of baby 'A'

Christmas Lights

This past Sunday we went our with good friends Daryl and Rachel. We decided to get in the holiday mode, so our adventure began going to Sharpsville to see the lights set to music at a home there in town.. We then headed to We Care park where we got out and walked in the freezing cold and muddy walkways. Our last stop was at the Christmas tree house were there are more than 140 Christmas trees set up throughout a local residence home. I love this time of year, getting to see all the lights and decorations, and getting to enjoy it all with the special people in your life!
